Syrah / Shiraz
Syrah and Shiraz are the same wine varietal just different pronunciations depending on where it was grown. If the wine came from South Africa or Australia it will be called Shiraz. Syrah on the other hand, was born out the Rhone River Valley in Southern France. It’s a powerful and weighty grape with spice that is super smooth on the palate. You’ll find Syrah/Shiraz wine both bottled on its own and used in red blends.
